Since there is less tourist information in Ibaraki than in other prefectures, and some people may not know where to go, we decided to leave this experience in this article for reference.
Ibaraki One-Day Bus Tour
You want to go on a trip, but it's hard to plan it.
With a bus tour, you can leave everything to us.
There was a bus tour leaving Ueno Station at 7:30am and returning at 5pm, so I decided to join the tour.

9:00 Michi-no-Eki Joso
Arrival time was 9:00.
It was Sunday morning, but it took about 1.5 hours from Ueno Station via expressway.

This is what the inside of the restaurant looks like.
It took about 20 minutes to get inside because there was a line.

The melon bread here has melon cream inside.
We enjoyed it deliciously.

We stayed one hour as planned and left the roadside station at 10:00.
Our next destination was a restaurant for Hitachiniku beef at Mt.Tsukuba.
11:00 Mt. Tsukuba: Hitachino-Beef Cuisine Hitachino
It was about 11:00 when we arrived at the restaurant because of the traffic jam after we reached Mt.Tsukuba.
It took one hour from Michi-no-Eki Joso.
Here is the store we wanted to visit.

The meat was soft and delicious.
After filling our stomachs, we will take the cable car to Mt.Tsukuba.
12:30 Mt. Tsukuba: Cable car
We left the restaurant at 12:00 pm and arrived at the cable car station at 12:30 pm.
Since we were told that our stay here would be two hours, we hurried to board the cable car.
The cable car takes only 8 minutes one way from Miyawaki Station to the summit station.
It was just the season of autumn leaves.
We were able to enjoy the autumn leaves from the windows of the cable car.

View from summit station |
Mt. Tsukuba has two mountains, Nantai-yama and Nyotai-yama.
So we decided to climb the Nyotai-yama peak.
If anything, the Nyotai-yama mountain is more gentle.
Aiming for the summit of Nyotai-yama |
I was told that the trail was relatively gentle, but there were rocky sections along the way.
There are rocky areas and it is quite difficult. |
We climbed to the very top of the summit, but were unable to climb any further due to a line formed in the narrow passageway at the entrance to the summit.
We gave up and turned back because we were going to be late for the bus.
The area around the summit was crowded with people taking pictures.
Instead, we enjoyed a cup of coffee and the view at Cafe 877Stand at the summit station.

I was a bit nervous about the crowded cable car on the way back, but managed to get back in time for departure.
15:00 Apple picking at Sanpoen Tourist Orchard
Tsukuba, we proceeded along the Kasama-Tsukuba Line toward Ishioka City for about 20 minutes.
We arrived at Sanpo-en, a sightseeing orchard.
Sanpo-en |
Here, they offer apple picking, persimmon picking, and sales of Shine Muscat.
This time, apple picking.
The harvested apples are peeled and eaten.
The taste was just right, with just the right amount of sweetness, and I was able to eat three pieces in 30 minutes.
And this was the end of our sightseeing tour.
I took the expressway back to Ueno Station.
The road on the way back was also crowded, and we arrived at Ueno at 18:00.
In the end
This time, I took a one-day bus tour to Ibaraki Prefecture.
Thank you for reading to the end.
Ibaraki Prefecture is only one to two hours from Tokyo by expressway, so please visit Ibaraki when you come to Japan.
There are many delicious foods in Ibaraki, such as melon bread and Hitachiniku beef.
Well, that's about it for this issue.
